The Nerdwest Show at Lilac City Comicon 2017

 

The Nerdwest Show is a podcast and a radio show based out of Spokane, Washington that focuses on Nerd and Geek Culture.  The four main contributors to the Nerdwest Show are Colton Lowry, Devon Traylor, Ryan Ziehnert and Zach Becker . The Nerdwest Show presents a “this week in geek culture” type format and presents commentary on all of the news and happenings throughout the week from the world of gaming, film, and genre TV. The show brings a “blue collar nerd” perspective to all of the major happenings in geek culture. Along with being broadcast through all of the major podcast outlets, the show is broadcast on 88.3 FM  KWIS out of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Mondays at 3:00 PM PST. Nerd on brothers!

Devon Traylor, otherwise known as D, @MFFalcon and Chocolate Thunder, is one of the founders of the Nerdwest Show and has been an integral part of the show since it’s humble beginning as Z and D’s Geekdom. Devon prefers not to say his age, but insists that he is probably old enough to be someones dad (Which he is). His areas of expertise include film, TV, Marvel Comics, Star Trek, Video Games, and speculative fiction. His catch phrase is “Black Magic Bitch!” and loves the film Versus.

Colton Lowry, otherwise known as BiglaBROSKI42 and @papalow42, joined the Nerdwest Show in late 2016 and since then has become a fan favorite with his no-nonsense opinions and his quick wit. Colton is a native of Nine Mile Falls, WA and is in the prime of his life. His areas of expertise include: first person shooters, Psych, World War 2 films, and Red Dead Redemption. His catch phrase is “Aww, here it goes!” and he is currently reading every issue of Swamp Thing ever written.

Ryan Ziehnert, otherwise known as @flossysummer, is the most recent addition to the Nerdwest Show. Ran hails from Mead, WA and is also in the prime of his life. Ryan is an author an is currently promoting his first book, Richard Powers: American Hero. His areas of expertise include: Borderlands, retro game collecting, The Simpsons, and South Park. Ryan’s catch phrase is “Cool, cool, cool (smiley emoticon).” and is currently replaying the first Borderlands game.

Zach Becker, otherwise known as @buckfertuzzi, is also one of the founders of the Nerdwest Show and has been a slightly less integral part of the show since it’s humble beginning as Z and D’s Geekdom. Zach is from Nine Mile Falls, WA, but currently resides in Spokane. His areas of expertise include: Seaquest DSV/2032, Jurassic Park, Fallout, and DC Comics. Zach’s catch phrase is “I’m the best at being self deprecating.” and he is currently re-watching The Room for the hundredth time and playing Saints Row 4 in between viewings.
